It was six goals riot for Lyon and Wolfsburg as they thrashed Galatasaray and Wolfsburg respectively in Matchday five of 2024/2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Group A clashes on Wednesday .

Record Champions League winners, Lyon thrashed Galatasaray 6-0 at the Ataturk Olimpiyat, Istanbul.
Champions League all time top goal scorer Ada Hegerberg started the goal rush in the 19th minute from Ellie Carpenter’s assist.
Sara Dabritz doubled the lead for the French side in the 24th minute of play before an own goal from Jazmin Jackmon made it 3-0.

AS Roma with six points and Galatasaray without a point are out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, former champions Wolfsburg recorded a 6-1 win against AS Roma at the AOK Stadion, Wolfsburg.
Iceland international, Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir scored four goals in the second half to help the Germany side to a comprehensive win over the Italian Champions.
Alexandra Popp and Lineth Beeresteyn scored the other goals while Valentina Gacianti equalised for AS Roma.
